Arieanna has posted the next installment of our survey results Advertising in Blogs. First, I thought I'd give you some insight into how these articles are being produced. Arieanna writes them up, posts then as a draft and then I read them. I usually make minor (really minor) tweaks to the wording and then she posts them. As I'm reading the analysis, and this is the first time I really get insight into Arieanna's conclusions, I start thinking of my take. What am I going to say about this, the point I'd like to elaborate on.
My take on this episode of "As the blogger answers questions ..." is that people might like to use advertising on their blogs, but it's too hard and they don't see the pay off. Google AdSense, for all the hype, is a) not that easy to get into your blog and b) takes more tweaking than the average hobby blogger has. Heck it takes more time than this problogger wants to spend.
The need for good advertising options is key to the growth of the Blogosphere. Come on
guys, we're writing great stuff out here. Lots of other people are getting ideas, product reviews, analysis ... for free. Having easy to use ads that actually make you real money, in your lifetime, is key.
Yes, you can probably see where this is going. Yes, you have probably figured it out. Yes, soon.
Enough said.
