Update Thursday morning ... Forgot to include a screenshot ... gee I wonder how I added it? ;-).
The number one feature request, now that WordPress categories are supported, has been to be able to edit old posts with QLE. I've been hinting around that this was in the works for a long time, and now you get to test it out: QumanaLESetup2_0_1_66_TEST.exe. While we think this code is final, in terms of working, we are releasing this as a beta because we would like feedback on it and there are some weird things with the way some blog platforms return dates (we can only work with what we get!).So, first the install note. Make sure that you have completely quit QLE before you install this (you're also getting a peak at our new and improved install script, too). This is really important. If you're one of the people using the "special" version ... ping me because that is a different installer (it also works, cause I'm using it for this post).
On the usage side, I think Graham, our programmer, has done something really awesome. Here's how the function works. Let's say you are a blogger with a paltry three blogs ( ;-) ), A, B, & C. Blog A is the one listed first in the pull-down menu. You click the refresh button and the last 10 posts appear (yes you can change that), open one and edit away, repost. Cool. But what if you wrote something for Blog B but then wanted it on A & C? Hmm, sounds like copy and paste time, right? Nope. Just select Blog B from the pull-down menu, bring up the list of previous posts, open the one you wish to cross-post, then just switch blogs in the pull-down menu and repost! I've done this twice myself Blogware to Blogware and Blogware to Typepad and Blogware. It rocks! I don't know how many times I've gone "Oops" after closing the editor window, then had to copy and paste (which rots, btw).
Oh, and this isn't the only cool new feature coming out soon. We've got a couple more tricks up our sleeves. Watch this space.
