Technorati might still be the darling of the MSM, but man us bloggers are right pissed at them.  For good reason too.  Frankly, although I have Technorati watch lists and my Technorati profile even a sticker on my laptop, I certainly don't rely on them for finding links to my blogs.  Jeremy and Paul agree.  As do a host of others.  Look.  Technorati brought tagging out of just Flickr and to the whole Blogosphere.  Cool.  But hey, you look at my Technorati linkages, they are way, way out of date.  I asked one of the Technorati people at Gnomedex about this and he said bad HTML on your page, but it just hit me.  I ping Technorati everytime I post and they should be spidering my RSS feed, not just my site.

 

Personally, PubSub is my fav.  Followed by Feedster and Icerocket.  Technorati, is really an after thought.  The results I get aren't relavent.  I don't need to know when a blog that has be in their blogroll as been updated.  That's not important to me. I want to know when someone as linked to my site from a post.

 

So David.  It was great to meet you at Gnomedex.  Look, you have the leadership position.  Your up high and we're taking potshots.  But, here is your chance to make things cooler and better.

 

Go for it.  You know well all try it and blog it.
