New version of Qumana available

Since the launch of Qumana 2.0 on Oct 13 we've been listening to your feedback and have been making improvements in the interface and a few other tweaks since then. So we have a new version of Qumana to try.

The first thing I hope you notice is the new set of buttons we have. Nice, huh? We're pretty proud of them ourselves.

The goal here was to make buttons that are both descriptive and attractive. I think we hit the nail on the head, IMHO. Since some of these buttons are brand new (Settings for example for all the preferences you might what to set) or combine two things into one dialog (Advertising ... much more streamlined) I did a short screen cast explaining the new look:

For new features we've increased the number of characters a blog ID can have from 15 to 100. This should cover all the bases. Also, if you want to turn "Powered by Qumana" off, as much as it pains us ... okay. That toggle is from the new Settings button ... Configure Qumana.

We have more improvements in the works. Think of this an interim update. Enjoy!

I like the organization much better, great work!

A few comments:

1. Overall new organization is very slick, and makes much more logical sense.

2. The buttons, while nice, look a bit out of place for the overall app design. They're also a bit larger than need be - they overpower a bit

3. The edges of the buttons are pretty rough

Keep going, you guys are doing great!

OK, one other thing - I just configed the proxy server. It would be helpful to have the proxy info boxes unable to accept input if the "Enable Proxy" isn't checked.

Great new version, guys.
Just one minor gripe.. Still no support for extended post options (comment/trackback settings, ping URLs, etc..), or extended entries (i.e. "Excerpt" and "Extended", or "main" and "extended" fields), as allowed by the MetaWeblog APIs. I often write longer posts and want to hide a portion behind a "Continue Reading..." link (as supported by WordPress, MT, half-a-dozen others). Currently, I have to post with Qumana, and then log in and edit the entry and manually input the  tag.

Still, as always, a great program, and I love the recent changes.
