David Sifry of Technorati, Sifry's Alerts, describes the big picture in the growth of weblogs recently. Amazing. As of October 6, 2004, there are approximately 400,000 posts created every day in the blogosphere, which averages out to about 4.6 posts per second, or over 16,000 posts per hour.

Wow. What would be extremely interesting to compare to this chart is a map of global consciousness response. Think I'm going to run right over to the Global Consciousness Project at Princeton and see if their data shows a correlation between this data and theirs...[http://noosphere.princeton.edu/]
