The New Blogger (out of beta) and Qumana

Ok .. so we've rearranged our priority list to move to the head of the list making Qumana 3.0 operate smoothly once again with the newest version of the Blogger platform.

None of us here use the Blogger platform.

Would any of you out there who used to use Qumana with Blogger (and hopefully still use it if you operate blogs on other platforms) mind giving us a hand by helping us zero in on what doesn't work, what Qumana does poorly, rudely, or not at all when attempting to publish to Blogger using it ?

Your help will be invaluable .. we want to modify / repair Qumana as quickly as possible.

How do you expect to develop a good product when you don't do Blogger testing personally? You expect to get a comprehensive test from beta testers? I don't write softwares but I think you need to at least test your product with your target platforms. How hard is it to get a free Blogger account?

Michel, What Jon meant is that we don't blog on Blogger actively. We have several Blogger accounts for testing, and use them frequently, what we are looking for are people who actively blog on Blogger so we can get a better cross-section of users, platforms, bloggers, and such. I started my blog on Blogger, but since moved off it.

Part of our final testing is to recruit bloggers to test new features in a more holistic manner.

The main problem is still that Qumana can't post! Attempting to do so gets a "publishing error" that reads: Error publishing post. Error when posting: java.lang.exception: RPC handler object "blogger2" not found and no default handler registered.

I'm a qumana user (blogger & wordpress) and I'd also be happy to help test things out. I get the same error as Anonymous. I tried updating the username / password as well as just adding it as a new blog, no luck either way.

I can't even do an Add Blog. When I type in my Blogger username and pwd, I get an error message saying:

Error trying to retrieve your blog information.
com.google.blogger.api.UserMigratedException: The given Blogger account has been migrated to a Google Account on (it ends there)

Note: I started using the new Blogger beta, never used the previous version.

Yes, I am typing in my user and password correctly.

(Just to confirm, I tried with an incorrect user/pwd and got a different error message saying my user/pwd were wrong.)

Is there any update on this situation? I can't seem to get a post to go live at all... it just hangs during the post process indefinitely. Would be happy to test stuff out and give feedback, but can't get past the posting issue yet.

Hi. Still having problems similar to others above with the new Blogger. I was able to post something from home (Mac OSX) last night. Today I was unable to post something from work (WinXP) and now I'm back home and getting a username/password error (Max OSX) even though I know I've got the username/password correct.

Thanks for working on this! The only reason I use Qumana is because I want to post both on LJ and Blogger. Without the Blogger portion working, I might as well go back to just using LJ! :)

Loaded Q3 yesterday and it found my 2 Blogger blogs.
However it would only 'refresh' the list of posts on one of them.
Could not get the other to refresh. Blogger would not authorise access due to username/pw problem...?
So, I upgraded to new Blogger with my Gmail ID, which by the way is different to previous blogger ID and different again to Qumana ID.
Now it gives me a User Migration Exception. (?)
Bottom line, Qumana is only refreshing one blog.
I created a new blog under new circumstances, but Qumana still only refreshes the original one blog.
Please advise.

Wait for a new Qumana update, for now if you are using Blogger forget any blogger manager for now, no one is working perfectly with it... :( In some you can post, but not import photos, in others you can post but without title, and in other they not even recognize it!

I get the same error as Anonymous mentioned above.
Q does find my blog, and I use my google log-in and password.
Any plan to update on this soon? (Not that Blogger seems to be any better - they seem to be having all kinds of problems as well with the new NotBeta-Blogger).

Performancing is a Firefox plugin that works the blogger (beta) and will work with OS X or Windows.

I have the same problems as eveyrone else, my post list won't refresh & my posts are posted without titles. The big thing is the date created option which is something I really need to use doesn't work, the post is just published immediately.

This is really getting ridiculous. I used to use your product every day. I recommended it to others. In the span of a few short months, you have me uninstalling it and looking for something else. I would rather use Qumana if it only worked!!

Ugh. Blogger is seriously pushing everyone to the new platform. I moved and now my Q is broken! Please tell me there is a fix as Qumana is the most awesome tool for blogging!

you can try select blogger as your blog platform and end point as http://YOURBLOGNAME.blogspot.com/blog/

I agree, Scott, I love Qumana too, because It’s so easy to post to multiple blogs with one click offline. Still, I had a problem, earlier, I couldn't add in HTML bits and I could not save drafts into my blog for future posting. Thank God the HTML part has been fixed now with Version 2.
